So I confess, the kid in me LOVES Halloween! I think it's just an excuse to eat treats and dress up, and of coarse the haunted houses! Sure do miss those! The kids and I decided to make spiders out of pumpkins! How fun! Well it was for about a minute and then Taylor decided the paint looked better on her, Alexis wanted to paint 5 coats and Dylan was done shortly after he started! But when all was said and done, it turned out to be great! Taylor pulls a leg off everyday, by accident of coarse, but other than that they are cute!

Happy Halloween!

Halloween fun!

House full of hormones

So I have accepted defeat. I cannot control the amount of emotional drama that goes on in my house. All I can say is my poor boys. So far I have daughter #1 who is sweet, tender, wants to please, and very emotional. Daughter #2 is VERY dramatic, loud, the entertainer. She is definitely in a league(or world) of her own. Daughter #3 we are anxiously waiting to see how she molds into her own personality. She is very sweet, and happy all the time. This is a typical Sunday afternoon. We are listening and dancing to "Best of both worlds" for the 10th time at Taylors request. All I can say is watch out Hanna Montana. Dereck is gone to a meeting(typical) and we are trying to pass time. Or in other words survive until bed time. Dylan trys to act cool, but don't be fooled he his also dancing and singing along. We are raising the roof in the Hope home. But all good things must come to an end. When I say those magic words "time for bed" the volume goes higher, the energy is raised up a notch and I have lost all control. What is it about bed time anyway?? So we all have bedtime routines, well I am pretty strict with bedtime(when you have 4 to put to bed you have to be) but Taylor loves to push me to the limit. She thinks she has to bring everything she owns to bed. After the fighting and negotiating, she goes to bed with 3 books. After I have tucked everyone in and come back to check on Taylor, she has gone into her closet, got dressed up in her sleeping beauty costume and has every single princess she owns stuffed under her covers and is sacked out. Also a very typical night. I often wonder if the Lord is trying to bless me with 3 girls, or punish me for putting my mom through this. Either way at the end of the day, I wouldn't trade them for anything. Dylan on the other hand might. He is my breath of fresh air. (or atleast someone with little emotional baggage)

Baby Izzy

What's there to say about our cute lovable Isabella? We can't get enough of her! She is 7 months now! WOW! She is in no hurry to grow up though! She only roles over if you lay her on her stomach, she won't stand up, (to much chunk i think), and she loves to get her hands and mouth on everything! If we can just keep Taylor from giving her things she might choke on, I will sigh a breath of relief! I couldn't ask for a better baby! (wait I think I said that about Taylor!) There is always hope!

how her little mind works

Taylors sayings of the week!

"You have GOT to see this!"

"Yes cause that is clearly the right thing to do"

"It hurts me to go to bed"

How do 3 year olds minds work?

She is just like her mom, she will catch it
but won't touch it! That a babe!

It's hard to believe that these are my kids! They are too grown up! Dylan is 9 now and Alexis is 6. They ran in the 1/2 mile and mile in Utah for the 4th of July! They have a typical brother sister relationship! Sometimes I want to call my mom up and apologize for the grief I must have caused her! Dylan is my entertainer! He is very social! His teacher has him sitting in the front row! I am very worried! He has just started playing soccer and is soo excited! He thinks his team is awesome (even the girl on his team is good!) Alexis is my sweet tender hearted child! She is shy and wants to please! She is definitely the teachers pet! She is a little mom and loves to boss her sister around! Her favorite saying is "when I grow up"! Should I be worried???

This is Isabella (Izzy)! She is a blessing to our family! She has just found her voice and is so entertained by her sisters that she doesn't like to be left alone! When you walk into the room, she has a burst of excitement come over her! She is very laid back, not rolling over (well maybe once or twice) but is just content laying back and relaxing! There is not much to complain about with her! She is 6 months now and growing fast!! (too fast for me) Taylor loves her so much that she can't stay off of her! We worry, but Isabella loves it!

Taylor is our little princess! Not a day goes by that she isn't living in her own little fairy tale! She walks, talks, and acts like a princess! The babysitter had to act out sleeping beauty to get her to go to bed! Taylor came into my room crying....
Mom: "whats wrong Taylor"
Taylor: "Dylan won't marry me"
Mom: "Thats because he's your brother"
Taylor: "Will you marry me then?"
That is one day in the life of Taylor! We are all priveledged to be a part of her world!
